ClickHouse Acquires LibreChat
ClickHouse's acquisition of LibreChat, which will stay open-source and bring major funding and analytics power, accelerates the platform we customize for 10,000+ users and boosts its enterprise promise.

On November 4th, 2025, ClickHouse announced that they have acquired LibreChat, a leading open-source ChatGPT replacement. As you know, we customize, implement, and support LibreChat for our clients, and have deployed over 10,000 users (with over 100,000 users in our pipeline). Here is the announcement.
This acquisitionis noteworthy for both us and the broader LibreChat community, which now includes several major enterprises (including Shopify and Daimler Truck) that have deployed LibreChat internally for their employees. Some highlights that bode well for our future LibreChat work include:
- ClickHouse has committed to keeping LibreChat open source (MIT license) with a strong community development focus. We (and our clients) can still take this where we need to go.
- ClickHouse’s R&D plans for LibreChat, powered by their $650m in funding (including $350m announced in May), will accelerate the roadmap of advanced agentic capabilities and enterprise features that our clients are looking for.
- Adding the analytics core of ClickHouse to the LibreChat platform could be very powerful for our users. LLMs are not very adept at the kind of number crunching needed in the enterprise, so having a strong data engine to power future capabilities could be interesting.
We are looking forward to what LibreChat creator Danny Avila and the ClickHouse team have in store for this amazing platform. Congratulations!
